Global Television and Professional Audio Technology seal deal during IBC 2012 in Amsterdam.

Australian Lawo partner Professional Audio Technology Pty Ltd (PAT) announced that they have signed a contract with Global Television for the supply of various Lawo, DirectOut Technologies and COMREX products to Global Television at IBC.

48 hours after the official launch of the new Lawo mc²56 on the opening day at this year's IBC show, Marc Segar – Director of Technical Services, Terry Manley – Chief Engineer for Global TV, Philipp Lawo – CEO of Lawo AG and Patrick Salloch – Managing Director of PAT, toasted to Global Television's purchase of a new 48 fader mc² 56 with HD core and DALLIS I/O frames with a fresh brew on the Lawo stand. The sale also included a V__pro8 SDI embedder/de-embedder with various video features, which was also launched by Lawo just days before the deal was announced.

“To have sold this amazing new console within 48 hours of its launch is certainly the highlight of the show for us. The fact that Global TV also purchased the new V_pro8 in conjunction with the console is without a doubt the icing on the cake” enthused Patrick Salloch – Managing Director of Professional Audio Technology. “We are using our first mc² 56 on this year’s telecast of the new series of Big Brother and are very impressed’  confirmed Mr. Segar from Global Television. ‘Technically, the desk is excellent. In particular, our operators love its interface, flexibility and the new colour coding aspects of its operation. With the new version of the mc² 56 Lawo is definitely setting the new standard in Australian television and radio.”

Also included in the deal were 4 x Andiamo2.XT SRC’s, a ma2chbox.XT and various breakout panels from DirectOut Technologies, which will see their first use during the taping of ‘My Kitchen Rules’ early next month. A further 4 x Comrex DH20’s were also part of the purchase. Says Patrick Salloch: “Once again we were fortunate enough to be able to supply Global Television with these world class manufacturers to add to their already impressive production arsenal. We value our ongoing relationship with Global Television and are looking forward to continuing our work with them.”
