Innovason Eclipse


Eclipse GT is the world’s first digital console to offer fully integrated multi-track recording via the unique M.A.R.S Multi-track Audio Recording System. It is also incredibly powerful for its tiny footprint, enabling you to mix up to 104 inputs simultaneously into 48 mix busses with the capacity to manage up to 320 inputs on the console using up to five remote audio racks.

The control surface is furnished with 48 faders and 48 fully configurable rotary knobs (spread over four layers). The concept is called SmartPanel and effectively gives you 96 “faders”, taking INNOVASON’s original  SmartFAD concept to the next level. As a result, Eclipse GT is truly a multipurpose console, equally at home at FoH, monitors or in an OB van. No other console offers such flexibility of configuration and personalisation.

Multi Purpose

Digital Microphone Integration
Eclipse is the world's first console to offer the ability to control and memorize all the parameters utilised by the new generation of digital microphones. The completely integrated digital workflow that results from using digital microphones takes the dynamic range and signal fidelity experienced with analogue microphones to an exciting new level. A loss- and interference-free signal chain in audio production has finally become reality. In collaboration with Neumann/Sennheiser , we have developed a protocol that enables communication with the microphones and provides fingertip control of all these parameters. Save, export, backup etc.; all the microphone parameters may be saved to the Eclipse show file and are managed in exactly the same way as any of the console parameters.

Networking: Native Ethersound
Eclipse can be fully networked digitally. Ethersound can be used to connect the console to four audio stage boxes, third-party devices and up to 4000 other facilities that use Ethersound. Of course, several Eclipses can be connected with each other. This is not only a smart solution, but also extremely useful.

PANDORA*  PAN Digitally Optimized for Real Acoustic
PANDORA was designed to address the problem of panning in live situations with a big audience where people seated outside the centre of the PA zone do not hear the nicely balanced mix of those seated in the middle. The PANDORA function, now fully integrated as part of the new software release Nova 2.4.0, finally enables panning with no loss of information from left to right.

Virtual Soundcheck
The Eclipse allows a virtual soundcheck, which can be activated with the simple press of a button. How does it work? All live signals are disconnected from the stage and track playback is fed to the input channels. In this way, these signals are not only available on the FOH console, but also on all systems linked to the network (eg. the monitor area). Now Eclipse recreates exactly the same conditions as for the concert: perfect for the fine-tuning of your mix.


Recording - Onboard multitrack recording
The M.A.R.S. option includes a built-in 64-track recorder which records directly onto a hard disk plugged into the back of the console. A navigation bar and a time code module are available on the control surface for rapid access to recording and playback functions.

For complete peace of mind, Eclipse GT is supplied complete with a fully redundant power supply as standard.

Local I/Os
64 inputs and outputs are available at the rear of the console. There are six slots which will accept all INNOVASON I/O and effects modules, and a further sixteen balanced line I/Os are available on four SubD connectors.

Simple and flexible
Eclipse GT comes with fully processed, configurable balanced XLR outputs as standard. You can choose between analog, AES or ADAT over fiber optic. The processing comprises a dynamic section (gate & compressor), a 4-band parametric EQ, a 31-band graphic EQ and a delay adjustable up to 460m with variable output level.

High quality internal effects
The internal effects from VB Audio can be used either via the aux sends or as inserts on the console busses. They provide an impressive range of high quality effects which are available as a list of plug-ins. The SmartPanel contains a dedicated layer which enables you to adjust all of the effects parameters using the rotary knobs.

Stage Boxes
Up to five remote audio racks may be connected to Eclipse GT via CAT5, coaxial or fiber optic cable.

I/O and FX Cards
