NPR West, Los Angeles (California)
From its headquarters in Washington, D.C., National Public Radio (NPR) generates countless hours of programming for its 900+ member stations. In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, NPR realized the need for disaster recovery and continuity and decided to transform their Los Angeles NPR presence into a multistudio facility that could assume head-end status. The facilities are tied together via AES67/RAVENNA links, which are highly dependable thanks to SMPTE 2022-7 Seamless Protection Switching.
