Theatre in Dong Guan produces with mc²66 consoles.
Lawo installs three mc²66 in Yu Lan Grand Theatre.
Since January 2006, the Yu Lan Grand Theatre in Dong Guan has trusted in mc²66 consoles. The stunning new performing arts complex in Dong Guan, situated in the Chinese Guangdong Province, was designed – in cooperation with Tong Ji University - by Canadian architect Carlos Ott. His projects have included the Opéra de Bastille in Paris and the Canadian Broadcasting Center in Toronto. The building hosts a 1.600-seat Opera House and also includes a 400-seat Experimental Theatre with a fully flexible seating and staging system that can be configured to meet the needs of a wide range of performances.
Three 32+8-fader mc²66 consoles form the heart of the audio equipment of the Dong Guan Yu Lan Grand Theatre. Two mc²66 have been installed in the Opera House and one in the multi-function Experimental Theatre.
Leifull Light & Sound Technology Co. Ltd acted as the system integrator for this project. The main reasons for the decision for Lawo consoles were the high system stability of the digital and networking technology, the great convenience of the large capacity and expandability of the system, the strong and powerful control and functionality, the redundancy concept, ease of use and fast operation. The good performance-to-price ratio of the mc²66 also played an important role that influenced the responsible persons’ choice.
